When one hear the name “Lee Tai Fu”, the immediate reaction would be “Who’s that?” A look of surprise spreading all over one’s face when that individual realised that it is the name of a family style Bar and Restaurant! Naturally, the next question goes to probe the reason for the name. Well, to be honest, there aren’t any special reason except for the simple fact that the owner likes the ring of it and that it sounds very prosperous in the Chinese Language, so to clear the air - Lee Tai Fu is entirely a fictional character and the owners know no one of that name in real life – any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. A little known history is that Lee Tai Fu was actually opened by the exact same team, serving the same comfort food with heart and made many customers’ bellies very happy at then peaceful Changi Village back in 2001. Circa 2014, the Owner decided to bring back the same old home feel menu to serve the residents this time at the Tiong Bahru vicinity. Living up to Lee Tai Fu’s promise not to disappoint anyone, this place caters to the old and young with their extensive food and beer list and created an ambience complete with authentic items and memorabilia from yesteryears, all of which came from the Owner’s personal collection. Customers enjoys spending their time at Lee Tai Fu - be it with family, friends, or a couple’s night out - going oohs and ahhs as they both reminisce and enjoy the good food served at Lee Tai Fu. One Must Try Signature dish is definitely the Otah Pizza which is simply heavenly as described by many of Lee Tai Fu’s customers after they sink their first bite into the crispy dough with oozing melted cheese and home-made Otah slices. Other unforgettable dishes widely wonderfully reviewed by Customers includes the Crispy Pork Knuckle (made from a family recipe) and the Lee Tai Fu’s Special Pasta.
