Boon Keng MRT Station is located on the North East Line on the Mass Rapid Transit system in Kallang, Singapore. It is located at the traffic junction of Boon Keng Road, Towner Road and Serangoon Road, near the Whampoa River.
The station is named after Boon Keng Road, which itself is named after Dr Lim Boon Keng.
A part of the Bendemeer Shopping Mall had to be demolished to make way for the construction of this station. The remaining portion of the building continues to be used for retail purposes today.
Art in Transit at this station features a bright tropical-themed painting on the concourse level, consisting of icons of everyday life used in the past and present.
